Josh Lyons & Louis Hawkins's Story
The journey for Two Guys Gelato began in June 2022. Josh and Louis who had just finished their A-Levels embarked on a volunteering trip, taking part in a marine conservation program on the coast of Kenya. They soon realised they had a passion for travel and embarking on new life experiences. The following year in August 2023 they decided to travel around Indonesia and became quick to realise that they wanted to start something of their own, something they believed would bring happiness and joy.
As Josh, a University of Leeds student studying Environment & Business, and Louis went into their 2nd year of university, they continued to juggle higher education alongside the start-up of their business. While navigating through lectures, seminars, and tutorials they were quickly able to put learnt theory into real-life context in the form of their own business.
Two Guys Gelato was officially launched in the summer of 2024, catering to a range of events such as pop-ups, markets and private hire events. Out of their charming VW vintage camper they offer a range of handcrafted, locally made sorbets and gelatos.

As they come towards the end of their time at university, they are looking towards expanding their profile of events and increasing their brand visibility.
